Why research?
Research studies begin with possibility and conclude with discovery. There's a moment in each study where we learn something new about humans and the world. My role is to share these discoveries with designers and engineers who transform what we learn into awesome user experiences.
When I'm not at work, you can find me mentoring as part of Andreessen Horowitz’ “generation design” program or more recently mentoring with CODE2040. I live in Sausalito for quick ocean and mountain access, and am pretty smitten with pugs.
Long before I was a user researcher, I was a historian and spent most of my time studying and writing about gender and labor with a special emphasis on women's careers in aviation.
